It is difficult for many mothers to experience the blessings of a new birth because of poverty, personal problems, and troubled relationships. The work of The Treehouse testifies to the belief that every new human life is a miracle to be celebrated. We seek to bless mothers and their new babies by assisting them with their most basic human needs. Some of the services we offer include:
Following the birth of their babies and release from the hospital, eligible mothers will receive a one-time free distribution of baby supplies. Three times a year, moms can receive extra assistance with diapers or formula, free, no questions asked.
In addition, The Treehouse stocks basic supplies and offers them to mothers at discounted prices.
For moms already in The Treehouse system our thrift store offers basic supplies for infants and toddlers, gently used (or new) clothing in sizes newborn to size 8. The thrift store serves as a resource for both the moms and The Treehouse. The free area in the thrift store is constantly stocked with goodies for moms to take whenever they come to visit.
The Treehouse Thrift Store keeps a supply of the basics women need to care for themselves and for their children. Moms can pay for their items or use Baby Bucks earned by attending educational programs and completing Earn-While-You-Learn programs.
Most importantly, the thrift store gives moms a reason to visit The Treehouse on a regular basis. The opportunity to connect can come at anytime and our clients enjoy chatting with staff and volunteers in the casual comfort of the thrift store. Some of our most impactful guidance opportunities have happened while shopping alongside the moms.
We gratefully accept donations of infant supplies and thrift store items. Please take a look at our wish list by clicking here.
